We are looking for an Event Coordinator to join our growing team. Reporting directly into our Programme and Event’s Manager, you will provide support to the wider team on all PinkNews events and programmes. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have heaps of energy with a wealth of creative flair and enthusiasm. You will have good administration, writing, communication and social media skills and be very comfortable working with stakeholders across the business. The Event Coordinator will take on board guest management, programming, and project management duties for PinkNews’ events.  

 

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is willing to roll their sleeves up and hit the ground running as we have big ideas for the future. The right candidate will enjoy a start-up style environment where everyone works together, decisions are made quickly and no two days are the same.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the management and logistics of all PinkNews events to include but not limited to: conferences, award evenings and receptions
  • Maintain and monitor the events calendar for PinkNews
  • Circulate information, updates and changes to stakeholders when necessary
  • Produce pre and post-event reports to be shared with partners and the wider team
  • Manage timelines and communicate priorities to the wider team
  • Assist in developing relationships with charities, activists, thought leaders, politicians and businesses aligned to diversity and inclusivity
  • Support researching into new themes and topics for future PinkNews events
  • Identify, secure and manage the participation of appropriate speakers for a variety of PinkNews events
  • Send and manage guest invitations for events and finalising guest lists
  • Assist in organising and ordering collateral for in-person events: staging, step-and-repeats(s), event signage, brochures/e-brochures
  • Assist in the management of our PinkNews event pages, keeping it up to date and within brand guidelines
  • Be the point of contact for our jobs board partners, delivering packages and identifying new clients
  • Play an active role in company culture and live the PinkNews values

The package
