Jordan Gray blew away Friday Night Live viewers with an incredibly powerful performance that ended with the trans comedian stripping naked.

Channel 4 aired a one-off return special of the popular 80s comedy series on Friday (21 October) as part of the channel’s 40th anniversary celebrations. The special was hosted by comedian Ben Elton and welcomed veterans and rising stars of the comedy world to the stage.

Gray, who competed on The Voice back in 2016, took to the Friday Night Live stage wearing a bright pink suit to perform a comedic song about her experiences as a trans woman.

She quipped she’s “more than just a female Russell Brand” and that she hasn’t “had a Yorkie bar in five years”, garnering laughs from the audience.

At the end of her rousing song, Gray shouted that the “best thing about live TV” is that she can “do stupid stuff like this”. She leapt up from the keyboard and proceeded to strip completely naked to applause from the Friday Night Live crowd.

People online were absolutely amazed by Jordan Gray’s iconic performance, which was hailed as the “TV moment of the year”.
