Britney Spears tells mum Lynne to ‘go f**k yourself’

Britney Spears has told her mother to “go f**k yourself” after the latter issued an apology on Instagram.
The latest spat between Britney and her mother came after the singer said in a since-deleted Instagram post that she wanted a “genuine apology” from her family over the way they had treated her during her conservatorship.
Writing in the comments, Lynne Spears said: “I am soooo sorry for your pain! I have been sorry for years!”
But Britney wasn’t impressed by the apology – in a lengthy comment, she repeated her claim that she was forced to meet doctors weekly during her conservatorship, saying constantly reliving her past “made it worse”.
The singer said she was “scared to move” while under the conservatorship because she was afraid her father would “put [her] somewhere” if she didn’t comply.
“Not one mother f**king person stood up for me!!!” Britney wrote.
“Mom take your apology and go f**k yourself!!! And to all the doctors for f**king with my mind… I pray you all burn in hell!!! Kiss my mother f**king ass,” she added.

The public row is just the latest in a series of arguments Spears has had with her family since she started speaking out about her “abusive” conservatorship.
The “Toxic” singer has repeatedly hit out at her father, mother and her siblings, saying they refused to help her when she was living under the conservatorship.
In August, she posted a 22-minute voice note to YouTube in which she explained that she was more angry with Lynne than her father Jamie, saying her mother “wouldn’t speak up” for her.
In an Instagram post in August, Lynne defended herself from criticisms levelled at her by her daughter, saying she had tried her best to help Britney.
“I have never and will never turn my back on you!” Lynne wrote.
“Your rejections to the countless times I have flown out and calls make me feel hopeless! I have tried everything. I love you so much, but this talk is for you and me only, eye to eye, in private.”

Britney was finally freed from her 13-year long conservatorship in November 2021 by a Los Angeles court.
The arrangement was put in place in 2008, giving her father and others significant control over her life and finances.
Since then, she has used her Instagram account to speak out repeatedly against her family and against the legal arrangement that defined much of her adult life.
Most recently, she returned to the music industry with the Elton John duet “Hold Me Closer”.
