Olivia Newton-John’s daughter Chloe Lattanzi has shared a touching duet with her “best friend” and “safe place” following the star’s death, aged 73.

The Grease icon died at her home in California on Monday (8 August) after being diagnosed with cancer for a third time in 2019. She was first diagnosed in 1992.

On Tuesday (9 August), Olivia Newton-John’s only child Lattanzi, 36, shared a moving clip on Instagram of herself and her mother side-by-side, singing a track named “Window In The Wall”.

Writing in the caption, Lattanzi said: “You are my lighthouse mama. My safe place. My heart space.

“It has been my honour and continues to be my honour to be your baby and best friend.”

Tributes poured in for Olivia Newton-John after news broke of her death, with her Grease co-star John Travolta saying she “made all of our lives so much better”.

“We will see you down the road and we will all be together again,” he wrote on Instagram. “Yours from the first moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!”

Sir Elton John also joined tributes, praising her as a “beautiful voice and a warm and loving friend”.

Cliff Richard said he was “just one of an army of lucky people who knew and loved her” in a touching tribute.

“Olivia always had an up-beat approach to life,” he said on Instagram.

Only three weeks ago I was on the phone to her, and she was her bright positive self and I never thought for one moment of that call that I would be writing this and acknowledging her death.”

EastEnders star Samantha Womack sadly revealed she has breast cancer in a tribute to the star, sharing a photo of her and her daughter Chloe alongside Olivia Newton-John.

The actress wrote: “This was the most magical of evenings. Olivia and Chloe had come to see Grease in London and we had dinner together afterwards. I was so excited and in awe, she was my childhood.

“I now start my own battle with this disease and am left feeling deeply moved.”
