Glastonbury 2022: How to get tickets for LGBTQ+ acts including Pet Shop Boys, Self Esteem and more
Glastonbury 2022’s lineup was filled with LGBTQ+ talent who are touring the UK.
Glastonbury Festival has officially finished following another year of many iconic moments.
From Sugababes shutting down the Avalon Stage due to overcrowding to Olivia Rodrigo bringing out Lily Allen to perform and dedicate “F**k You” to the Supreme Court judges.
There was also plenty of LGBTQ+ artists on the lineup, with Arlo Parks, St. Vincent, Kae Tempest, Pet Shop Boys, Years & Years and Phoebe Bridgers among those repping for queer talent.
Whether you were watching the best bits on TV, streaming all of the sets across the weekend or at Worthy Farm, you might be wondering how you can catch some of the acts live.
A number of the standout performers are heading out on UK tours throughout the rest of 2022 and 2023, and we’ve put together a list of the LGBTQ+ acts you can get tickets for.

Self Esteem

After yet another acclaimed set at Glastonbury, singer Self Esteem is heading out on her biggest UK tour yet in 2023.
It will be in support of her acclaimed album, Prioritise Pleasure which was released in late 2021, and see her head to the likes of Manchester, London, Cardiff, Belfast and Birmingham.
The album features singles “I Do This All The Time”, “How Can I Help You”, “Moody” alongside the title track.
Her second LP overall, it sheds light on issues around female autonomy, comparison culture, self-doubt, heartbreak, sexual assault, comparison culture and self-acceptance.
Pet Shop Boys

Pet Shop Boys headlined the Other Stage on the closing night of Glastonbury, playing some of their biggest hits.
They were also joined by fellow queer pop icon, Olly Alexander, to perform a duet of “Dreamland”.
Following their set they announced their greatest hits UK tour, with arena dates planned in London, Leeds, Liverpool and Aberdeen in 2023.
It’ll see them play their back catalogue inclduing “West End Girls”, “You Were Always on My Mind”, “Go West” and “It’s a Sin” to name a few.
St. Vincent

When: 28-30 June, 2022

Following a set on Glastonbury’s Other Stage, St. Vincent is continuing to take the UK by storm with a handful of dates this June.
You won’t have long to catch her as the remaining dates will run between 28 and 30 June, with shows planned in London, Edinburgh and Bexhill-on-Sea.
The tour is in support of her sixth studio album also entitled Daddy’s Home, which was inspired by her father’s release from prison in 2019, the same time she began writing the LP.
Clairo

Clairo will tour across the UK and Ireland this autumn, after the dates were rescheduled from early 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The singer-songwriter will perform tracks from her second album Sling including “Amoeba” and “Blouse” as well as material from her breakthrough album Immunity.

She performed on the John Peel Stage on the Sunday of Glastonbury before joining Lorde on the Pyramid Stage to perform a stunning rendition of “Stoned at the Nail Salon” alongside Arlo Parks.
During her solo set she repped a t-shirt which read, “Bans Off Our Bodies” in response to the Supreme Court’s decision to tear down Roe v Wade.
Girl in red

Following a sold-out European tour and a set on Glastonbury’s John Peel Stage, girl in red will return to the UK in 2023 for her biggest headline show to date.
The singer-songwriter will perform at London’s O2 Brixton Academy on 3 April and if you want to catch her, be quick as tickets are likely to sell out for this too.
The show will be in support of her debut album, If I Could Make It Go Quiet which features singles “Midnight Love” and “You Stupid Bitch”.
Kae Tempest

Kae Tempest recently wrapped up their headline UK tour in support of their fifth studio album, The Line Is a Curve. But there’s still a chance to catch them live this year if you saw them at Glastonbury or live streamed the set.
They’re on the lineup for Bristol’s new festival, Forwards on 3-4 September.
Tempest will perform at the festival on Sunday, alongside headliners The Chemical Brothers and Roisin Murphy, Self Esteem and Caribou.
Meanwhile the Saturday will be headlined by Jamie xx and feature Little Simz, Charli XCX and Shygirl on the lineup.
In addition to two main music stages, the festival will feature ‘The Information’, a space for activism, examination, debate and understanding on today’s current affairs and cultural issues.
