Mariah Carey is giving the gays everything they want as she drops her Pride collection

Mariah Carey has released her 2022 Pride collection.

Mariah Carey has unveiled her Pride collection and she’s giving the gays everything they want.

The singer, legend and elusive chanteuse, who has been dropping her own Pride merch since 2017, has released her 2022 range.

It features t-shirts, tank tops, hoodies and accessories including a neon sign, socks and a bucket hat.

The icon unveiled the collection on Twitter, with a clip featuring a remix to her hit “Fantasy”.

Similar to last year, the collection is heavily inspired by her 1999 album Rainbow, which features bops such as “Heartbreaker” with Jay-Z and “Can’t Take That Away”.

Two t-shirts are embellished with the album artwork, while a tank top and t-shirt are replicas of the ‘Heartbreaker’ top Mariah wore on the single’s cover art.

There’s also Rainbow-inspired sweatpants, hoodie and short shorts, and two cropped hoodies which nod to her fan-favourite single “Obsessed”.

Other highlights include Mariah Pride socks, a butterfly bucket hat, rainbow water bottle and a neon rainbow sign which features Mariah’s name.

All of the merch is currently available to pre-order, with items expected to start shipping in June, so you won’t have to wait too long.

The collection’s prices range between $15 and $115 and fans can shop it at mariahcareyshop.com.

Pride Month 2022

A number of brands have begun releasing their Pride-themed collections for 2022.

However, each year brands come under fire for chasing after the “pink pound” with their Pride clothing and ignoring LGBT+ people for the rest of the year.

In order to combat this, in recent years a number of brands have collaborated with LGBT+ artists and highlighted exactly how much money they’ll be donating to LGBT+ charities, and which charities will benefit from the Pride clothing sales.

This includes Target who have teamed up with queer, female-founded brands, TomboyX and Humankind for two limited edition ranges.

The store’s main Pride collection has also seen them collaborate with independent LGBT+ artists, whose designs feature on t-shirts, tote bags, pet accessories and more.

Another recent release is Dr. Martens, who have reimagined their classic 1461 shoes with a subtle rainbow design against the monochrome white base.
