‘Daddy’ Oscar Isaac went to a RuPaul’s Drag Race viewing party at a queer bar

Professional hot man Oscar Isaac dropped jaws as he attended a RuPaul’s Drag Race viewing party at a New York queer bar.

Warning – spoilers ahead!

Isaac, who, by the way, is perfectly fine with you calling him “daddy“, swung by the Metropolitan Bar in Brooklyn on Friday evening (23 April).

Eagle-eyed fans spotted the Moon Knight star cheering as America’s Next Drag Superstar was revealed on his wife Elvira Lind’s Instagram stories.

The season 14 finale was down to five queens – Angeria Paris VanMichaels, Bosco, Daya Betty, Lady Camden and Willow Pill.

And it seems that Isaac was among the countless Drag Race fans who were team Willow. According to the filmmaker’s footage, Lind and Isaac wooed as Willow was handed the spectre from season 13 winner Symone.

“While watching the Drag Race finale at a gay bar in Brooklyn, a bearded man pushed past me, stood next to me, and cheered on the show,” tweeted one bar patron.

“It was Oscar Isaac.”

Willow, adored by fans for their offbeat approach to drag, became the show’s first openly trans queen to win a non-All Stars edition of the American series.

She managed to beat Lady Camden in a tense but seriously camp lip-sync to Cher‘s cover of ABBA’s “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)”,

“I just really want to thank my family and my friends, and most of all I need to thank Kornbread’s ankle,” Willow said as she was crowned by Mama Ru.

For the very tight Venn diagram of Isaac and Drag Race fans, there was some serious thirst. Between some very not safe for work tweets, fans called on America’s Next Drag Superfan Isaac to join the judging panel. Others, again, were just very, very not safe for work.

“Get him to coach and judge an acting challenge NOW!” said one Twitter user.

Isaac has long been a Drag Race fan. In a 2019 interview with IGN, Isaac and Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal bonded over their shared love of the art form. Pascal said he ran into Drag Race royalty Monét X Change at a convenience store ordering a sandwich.

Isaac could not cope. “I just saw that! I saw the pictures!” he screamed, adding that he was “binging” the World of Wonder programme.
