Professional hunk Sam Asghari has broken his silence on officially becoming a daddy after Britney Spears announced she is pregnant.

Spears, once forced to have an IUD in her body by her conservators, revealed Monday night (11 June) that she is expecting a baby with her fiancé.

It was something that the “Toxic” hitmaker said was once a pipe dream throughout the 14 years she was bound to a restrictive conservatorship before the arrangement was terminated last November.

Asghari, 28, shared a painting of two lions with a cub on Instagram in a touching tribute to Spears, whom he often playfully refers to as his “lioness“.

“Marriage and kids are a natural part of a strong relationship filled with love and respect,” the model, who has dated Britney Spears for six years, said.

“Fatherhood is something I have always looked forward to and I don’t take lightly. It is the most important job I will ever do ?.”

Asghari’s reference to “marriage” comes after Spears teased that the pair may have gotten hitched in secret. The 40-year-old has called Asghari her “husband” on Instagram since early April.

Speaking in an impassioned and almost breathless speech to the courts last June, Britney Spears said the people in control over her personal affairs barred her from removing her birth control device.

“I have an IUD in my body right now that won’t let me have a baby and my conservators won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out,” Spears said via audio uplink.

“I wanna be able to get married and have a baby. I was told right now in the conservatorship I am not able to get married or have a baby.”

Under Spears’ complex conservatorship, her former personal conservators Jamie Spears and Jodi Montgomery had the final say on all of her medical decisions. Some half of US states allow conservators to enforce not only long-acting contraception but the permanent sterilisation of someone under their care.

The decision to force Spears to keep an IUD, or intrauterine device, amounted to “reproductive coercion” according to activists at the time.

Months on and in an emoji-filled Instagram post that touched on “food babies” and perinatal depression, a free Britney Spears revealed to the world she is expecting.

“I am having a baby,” she wrote. “Four days later I got a little more food pregnant. It’s growing! If two are in there… I might just loose it.

“Obviously won’t be going out as much due to the paps getting their money shot of me like they unfortunately already have…. it’s hard because when I was pregnant I had perinatal depression.

“I have to say it is absolutely horrible… women didn’t talk about it back then… some people considered it dangerous if a woman complained like that with a baby inside her.

“But now women talk about it every day… thank Jesus we don’t have to keep that pain a reserved proper secret.”
