Ron Perlman blasts Florida’s ‘f**king Nazi pig’ Ron DeSantis for signing ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill

Actor Ron Perlman has told Florida governor Ron DeSantis he is a “f**king Nazi pig” and a “piece of s**t” for signing the state’s hateful ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill.

On Monday, 28 March, DeSantis signed into law the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, officially titled the Parental Rights in Education Bill, which bans the discussion of LGBT+ topics in schools.

The next day, Perlman posted a video to Twitter, in which he said: “Good morning Governor DeSantis, Ron here.”

The actor, who stars in Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy and Drive, continued: “Don’t say gay? Don’t say?

“As the first two words in a sentence spoken by a political leader of a state in the United States of America? Don’t say?

“Don’t f**king say you f**king Nazi pig? Say! First amendment. Read about it, then run for office. You piece of s**t.”

The bill, which bans LGBT+ topics from being discussed in classrooms, either by school staff or third parties, between kindergarten and third grade,  will come into effect on 1 July, 2022.

After third grade, these topics must be “age appropriate” and “developmentally appropriate”, although the bill does not define these terms.

The bill also mandates that school staff must out students to their parents or carers, stating that they must be notified if there is any change in a “student’s mental, emotional, or physical health or well-being”. The only exception is “if a reasonably prudent person would believe that disclosure would result in abuse, abandonment, or neglect”.

At the signing, ironically held at a school, DeSantis said students should “get an education, not an indoctrination”, accused the bill’s opponents of supporting “sexualising kids in kindergarten”, “injecting woke gender ideology into second grade classrooms”, and “enabling schools to transition students to a different gender without the knowledge of the parent, much less without the parent’s consent”.

Perlman’s strongly-worded rebuttal spread like wildfire on social media, with one Twitter user commenting: “Hellboy calling Ron DeSantis a Nazi pig is the energy I need to carry today.”

“If I were Nazi pig and piece of s**t Ron DeSantis, I would 1000 per cent cry over Ron Perlman yelling at me,” said another.

“Luckily I’m not and I hope he’s playing this on repeat alone in a room like a coward.”
