It’ll be in support of her recently announced album Big Time, which features the lead single “All The Good Times”.

Due for release on 3 June she says the album was written “during the time she was coming out as queer”.

“It’s about the expansive power of new love” and “having her first experience of queer love and heartbreak”, the singer says in a press release.

The LP was also recorded following the death of Olsen’s parents, who she came out to during the making of it.

“Some experience just make you feel as though you’re five years old, no matter how wise or adult you think you are,” she says of that “tearful but relieving conversation” with her parents.

“Finally, at the ripe age of 34, I was free to be me,” she adds.

This summer Olsen will also co-headline a North American tour with Julien Baker and Sharon Van Etten.

The trio will perform outdoor venues throughout July and August, with Olsen saying: “I am so thrilled to be traveling and playing music this summer, sharing the stage with these incredible people as our return to touring.”

“It’s truly a dream, something to hold and to share collaboratively as we get out from under the last few years,” she adds.
