Britney Spears disappears from Instagram after opening up about Las Vegas residency ordeal

Britney Spears has seemingly deleted her Instagram out of the blue after opening up about being “taken advantage of” for being “nice”.
On Wednesday afternoon (16 March), fans clocked that the 40-year-old had abruptly deactivated her account.
Since breaking her silence on the conservatorship that governed her personal and financial affairs for nearly 14 years, Britney has used Instagram to update fans on her wellbeing and her newfound freedom.
She’s also opened up about the alleged abuse she suffered while under her father’s control, and has blasted her entire family for their part in the conservatorship.
Britney previously deleted her Instagram in September, at the time telling followers she was “just taking a little break from social media”.
She added at the time: “I’ll be back soon ??✨,” and returned soon after.
Britney’s Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube accounts at the time of writing remain online.

The popstar’s social media has been a way for her to reclaim her narrative at a time when her voice had been muffled.
Sometimes she uploaded solitary dance routines or rallied for wealth distribution, other times she would openly condemn her family for exploiting her.

Hours before taking her Instagram page down, Britney Spears on Tuesday remarked about her return to Las Vegas as a tourist, having being treated like a “puppet” while she performed a four-year-long residency.
While she starred in Britney: Piece of Me, the singer said her family were given the “star treatment” while she was made to work long hours.
“The only thing I’ve known when I used to go to Vegas was a hour-long meet and greet with 40 people every night, getting the worst pics of me and then a two-hour show!” she wrote.
“Let’s just say this time visiting it gave me a whole new perspective on what it means to live!”
She added that she doesn’t want to be “loved” in this world. “I want to be feared!
“Being loved and being nice got me taken advantage of so take your [pity] and go f**k yourselves!”
