Written by the comedy icon herself, the tour will visit Oxford, Sheffield, Blackburn, Portsmouth, Plymouth and Bournemouth this autumn.

She says: “This show is so named because unfortunately, it’s horribly accurate.

“There have been far too many times I have made stupid mistakes or misunderstood something vital or jumped the gun in a spectacular display of t**ttery.

“I thought I might tell some of these buttock clenching embarrassing stories to give the audience a peek behind the scenes of my work life.”

French adds that fans will get “to see the telly vicar lady be a total t**t on stage, live in front of your very eyes. And ears”.

She’s best known for writing and starring on the comedy sketch show French and Saunders, alongside her comedy partner Jennifer Saunders.

This inspired the iconic show Absolutely Fabulous, which is based on the sketch, Modern Mother and Daughter from the series.

As well as this she played the lead role in The Vicar of Dibley and has appeared as a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
