Actor Ezra Miller left fans stunned after they shared a threatening video message directed at members of the Ku Klux Klan. Warning: suicide.

The Flash star didn’t explain what prompted them to issue a cryptic message towards an alleged chapter of the white supremacist organisation in Beulaville, North Carolina.

In a short clip posted to Instagram on Thursday (27 January), they began: “This is Ezra Miller – AKA the Bengal Ghouls, the Mad Goose Wizard – and, um, this is a message for the Beulaville chapter of the North Carolina Ku Klux Klan.”

“Hello. First of all, how are you all doing? Um, it’s me… Look, if y’all want to die, I suggest just killing yourselves with your own guns, OK?

Ezra Miller continued: “Otherwise, keep doing exactly what you’re doing right now – and you know what I am talking about – and then, you know, we’ll do it for you if that’s what you want.”

The 29-year-old then concluded with the sign off: “OK, talk to you soon, OK? Bye.”

The Fantastic Beasts actor made it clear they weren’t joking in the accompanying caption.

“Please disseminate (gross!) this video to all those whom it may concern,” they wrote. “This is not a joke and even though I do recognise myself to be a clown please trust me and take this seriously. Let’s save some live now ok babies? Love you like woah (sic).”

The Ku Klux Klan, also known as the KKK or the Klan, is an American terrorist and hate group that rules on the grounds of white supremacy. Their targets have historically been Black Americans, though the KKK has also set its sights on Jews, the LGBT+ community, immigrants and until recently Catholics, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Miller is famous for playing The Flash in the Zack Snyder-directed Justice League, which also starred the likes of Jason Momoa, Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot.

They will return as the DC superhero in a standalone The Flash film later this year.

The surprising video comes nearly two years after Miller came under fire over a video that allegedly showed them “choking” a fan while at a bar in Iceland.

Miller never publicly addressed the alleged incident and they were never officially investigated over the video.

PinkNews has contacted Ezra Miller’s representatives for comment.
