House of Gucci already had Lady Gaga smoking, drinking, clubbing and plotting to murder her husband – but she could have had sex with Salma Hayek, too.

What could have been? Indeed, the Ridley Scott was sufficiently camp and yet it left so much to be desired.

Mainly, gay sex. While we were treated to a straight sex scene that saw Adam Driver transform into a jackhammer, it turns out there was another that didn’t make the final cut – and it was all Gaga’s idea.

Lady Gaga and Salma Hayek recall shooting ‘delicious’ sex scene together

In the film, Gaga plays wealthy socialite Patrizia Reggiani while Hayek stars as the scene-stealing Pina Auriemma, Reggiani’s longtime astrologer who arranged the killing of Maurizio Gucci, heir to the leather goods business.

It was a film that, it’s safe to say, Gaga truly immersed herself in. She stayed in character for more than a year and became so seized by the role that she was convinced that Reggiani had sent a plague of flies against her.

Outside of swarms of insects, Gaga even tried giving directing a shot.

On Tuesday (18 January), she was joined by Hayek and other cast members for the MGM Studios House of Gucci UK panel moderated by British film critic James King.

There, a fan asked the Ugly Betty star what it was like shooting with Gaga. They had a “delicious relationship,” Hayek recalled, and fans “didn’t get to see all the scenes” that were filmed between them.

“There is a whole side of this film that you did not see,” Gaga chimed in.

“Pina and I developed a sexual relationship,” she added, smirking at Hayek sitting nearby.

“Should I tell them?” Sayek asked before Gaga explained all the steamy yet, somehow, still camp details.

Gaga recalled the moment that she turned to Hayek and Scott and suggested that, fresh from the climatic slaying of her former husband, Reggiani and Auriemma, well, experience another climax.

“This is a testament to the director because he allowed us to go there,” she said.

“I remember being on set with Salma going: ‘So, after Maurizio dies, maybe… it gets hot.'”

“You think she’s kidding!” Hayek shouts as the audience laughs.

The Chromatica hitmaker then suggested that not only was this conversation very real, but the actual scene itself had also been filmed. In other words, we need an extended or director’s cut of the film. Now.

Scott has already hinted at plans to drop a longer version of House of Gucci – a flick that is already nearly three hours long.

“It won’t be a director’s cut,” he said last year on the ReelBlend podcast. “It will be a long cut.”
