Family ‘extremely worried’ as new images show missing student Harvey Parker’s last-known whereabouts

An urgent appeal has been launched after a 20-year-old student, Harvey Parker, disappeared after a night out in London.

Harvey left Heaven nightclub in London, alone at about 2.15am on Friday (16 December).

Friends of the University of York student say they had attended a Little Simz concert at the O2 Academy in Brixton, south London, prior to attending the well-known LGBT+ venue.

Harvey was moving south from Charing Cross, towards the Embankment, before they disappeared, new CCTV images show.

Their mother, Amanda Parker, is desperate for information as to his location.

She told the Metro that she “can’t think of any reason” why Harvey would go missing.

She said that on the night they were last seen, Harvey had returned to the family home in Waterloo after the concert to get changed before heading back out.

“Just before we went to bed Harvey came back and was really upbeat and very positive about the concert and had a good time,” she said.

“Harvey’s very musically accomplished and very academically gifted and really confident. The flute is Harvey’s first instrument, along with the oboe, piano and organ. Harvey’s a phenomenal musician. Harvey is very engaging, has lots of friends and is quirky.”

Amanda said that she initially assumed that Harvey had set off for work. However, missing persons posts circulated on social media have also stated that Harvey missed three shifts at his job working for Theatre Royal Stratford East.

Amanda also explained that Harvey’s autism and consequent difficulty in reading social situations can potentially make them “very vulnerable”, leading to greater concerns around his safety.

Police say that Harvey Parker has not been answering phone calls and that the “family are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare”. Detectives have also said that there is “nothing to indicate any reason for him to go missing”.

“We have not been able to speak to Harvey on his phone and we are not aware of any reason why he should not be in contact with his family,” said detective sergeant Dick Nation, from Lambeth police.

“Both his family and police are extremely worried by his disappearance and we are asking for anyone who may have seen Harvey after he left the club, or has any other information, to call police immediately.”

“We don’t know what’s happening,” said Amanda. “Please Harvey if you see this please just come home.”

Harvey has short black hair and is of mixed race. Standing at 5ft 9ins, they have a slight build. Anybody with information is asked to come forward by calling 101 or tweeting @MetCC, quoting CAD 3134/18DEC21.
