Bring It On: The Musical is touring across the UK and Ireland in 2022 and it sounds iconic.

The smash-hit Broadway show is heading to venues across the country between January and July, and tickets are now on sale.

It’s currently running at London’s Southbank Centre until 22 January, before touring to Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and Dublin to name a few.

It was originally scheduled to take place across 2020, but this was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, so now fans will finally get the chance to catch Bring It On: The Musical.

The musical follows cheer-royalty and newly crowned Squad Captain, Campbell, who should be embarking on her most cheertastic senior year at Truman High School.

She’s forced to move to the neighbouring hard-knock Jackson High, where she fears her life is over. But an unlikely friendship catapults Campbell back into contention with a powerhouse squad and the fire to achieve the impossible.

The storyline is promised to be “wrapped up in explosive choreography and tricks” and a soundtrack to complete the musical experience.

It’s also been written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, best known for his hit musical Hamilton, alongside Jeff Whitty and Tom Kitt.

The musical is, of course, based on the iconic film of the same name starring Kirsten Dunst and Gabrielle Union.

Released in 2000, the film has become a cult classic, helped launch the careers of its leading stars and is referenced regularly in pop culture including in Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next” music video.

It’s also been followed up by five sequels, with a Halloween-themed television sequel being released in 2022.
