Strictly Come Dancing’s John Whaite and Johannes Radebe are joining the 2022 live UK tour

John Whaite and Johannes Radebe are joining the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour.

Strictly Come Dancing’s John Whaite and Johannes Radebe are joining the live tour lineup in 2022.

The show’s first all-male pairing will perform on the UK tour, which is visiting arenas across the country.

Dancing into arenas throughout January and February next year, the tour will feature contestants from the past two seasons.

They’ll be joined by fellow semi-finalists, Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice, AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington and Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu.

Also confirmed for the live tour lineup is Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin, Sara Davies and Aljaž Skorjanec as well as Max George from 2020’s series.

Whaite and Radebe made history this series as they became the first all-male Strictly partnership.

They are the show’s second same-sex couple, following in the footsteps of Nicola Adams and Katya Jones last year.

The Bake Off winner told the BBC that he had anticipated trolling and hate mail for appearing on the show as a same-sex couple.

He said: “It’s actually not been bad at all. It’s been kind and generous. The amount of people we’ve had messages from saying: ‘I’m proud as a straight mum and straight dad to have children grow up in a world where two men can dance together,’ has been truly overwhelming.”

Since the show premiered in September, the pair have become a hit among viewers, having never placed in the bottom two and receiving outpourings of support each week on social media.
