Elton John is heading out on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour next summer and tickets are selling fast.

The pop icon is returning to the stage to perform his final ever tour dates, after set backs due to the coronavirus pandemic and personal injury.

Fans will get one last chance to see the “Rocket Man” singer live before he retires from touring.

He’s headlining dates across the UK, Europe, North America and Australia throughout the next two years, and tickets are available from Ticketmaster.

When announcing the tour, the trailblazing artist said: “I’m going to go out in the biggest possible way, performing at my very best, with the most spectacular production I’ve ever had, playing in places that have meant so much to me throughout my career.”

“This has been an incredible tour so far, full of the most amazing highs, and I look forward to making more wonderful memories with you at these final shows.”

Elton will play outdoor and stadium shows in summer 2022, with dates planned for Norwich, Liverpool, Sunderland, Bristol and Swansea, as well as a huge Hyde Park show in London.

He will then return to perform his postponed arena tour dates in spring 2023, which he was forced to push back by two years after suffering an injury in a fall.

He told fans it was with “great sadness and a heavy heart” that he had to reschedule the dates, which includes nine nights at London’s O2 Arena.

Fans can expect to hear massive hits from the singer-songwriter’s back catalogue including “Tiny Dancer”, “Bennie and the Jets”, “The Bitch is Back” and “Your Song”.

More recently he released the collaborative album The Lockdown Sessions, featuring appearances from Dua Lipa, Years & Years, Rina Sawayama and Lil Nas X.
