Lil Nas X’s dad has spoken out after Boosie Badazz went on a hate-filled homophobic rant about his son.

Badazz faced major backlash after going on a homophobic Twitter tirade in response to Nas joking they had a song together in the works.

His tweet, which has since been deleted by the social media platform for violating community guidelines, included homophobic slurs and disgustingly urged Nas to harm himself.

Lil Nas X’s dad, Robert Stafford, took to his Instagram stories to criticise Badazz for his ignorant and hate-filled comments.

“How the hell you’re a gangsta rapper promoting drugs, gun violence, degrading women and getting high every video talking about you’re for the kids man sit your old man looking ass down,” he wrote.

“The game has past you. We real Bankhead over here. Not like the guy who claims it.”

Badazz responded to Stafford in a sole, weak tweet.

“DONT GET MAD AT ME CAUSE YOUR SON CAME OUT LIKE THAT LOL,” he wrote. “I KNOW IT HURTS.”

Badazz has been condemned for threatening to “drag” Lil Nas X “off stage and beat his a***” after Nas joked that he and Jack Harlow would perform “Industry Baby” together naked at the VMAs.

He also received backlash for claiming to have hired women to sexually assault his underage son to “train [him] right” and has gone on several transphobic rants attacking Dwayne Wade’s daughter Zaya.

Badazz also attempted to defend DaBaby amid ongoing backlash for the misinformed comments he made about people living with HIV and AIDs and the LGBT+ community. He claimed the backlash was proof that it “ain’t gonna be normal for a kid to be straight” in “10 years”.

Lil Nas X’s dad is fiercely protective

This isn’t the first time that Stafford has defended Lil Nas X. The renowned gospel musician came to his son’s defence after trolls blamed Nas for his mother’s addiction. He said that Nas has done what he can to help, but there isn’t “enough money that you can throw at this situation to make it right”.

“Despite what people say [Lil Nas X] is the greatest kid a parent can be BLESSED with,” he said. “Although his mom is in a struggle with an addiction she’s STILL a QUEEN and he goes through great lengths to make sure we’re taking care of.”

Stafford has also defended the LGBT+ community, which is so important to his son, and told DaBaby to “sit down”.
