Lil Nas X is single again after splitting from ‘the one’: ‘Maybe I’ll kiss a guy every blue moon’

Lil Nas X is back on the market after splitting with his boyfriend, confirming he’s single and ready to “kiss a guy every blue moon”.
The “Old Town Road” singer revealed in August that he was dating someone new, and that the relationship was going very well. Speaking to Variety, Nas said at the time: “I think this is the one. I can’t explain it – it’s just a feeling.”
But, it turns out, it wasn’t meant to be. Speaking to Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM show Andy Cohen Live, Nas confirmed that the budding romance had come to an end.
“I was seeing someone,” Nas said, People reported. “I kind of decided I didn’t want to anymore.”
Rolling with the punches, Cohen said he assumed Nas wouldn’t be single for long as there are probably “thousands of people applying for the job of Lil Nas X’s boyfriend”.
Nas shared there are “definitely a couple of people for sure”. But, not wanting to get anyone’s hopes up, he said he doesn’t think he wants to jump into a relationship again any time soon.
“Maybe I’m floating around right now,” he told Cohen. “I just want to work on music, and every now and then, you know, maybe I’ll kiss a guy every blue moon.”
Looking back, the writing was on the wall. Just a few weeks ago, Lil Nas X told People that he’s at a point in his life where he has “finally realised that I don’t want to fall in love”.
“I’m so focused on my music career, and love takes a lot of time,” Nas said. “It’s a lot of responsibility, and I don’t think I’m ready to have that extra responsibility on my shoulders right now.”
He shared he was still open to the possibility of a relationship in the future, saying “when it happens, it’s going to happen”.
