The 2021 official London Pride parade is sadly cancelled, but that doesn’t mean the party is over.

There are still plenty of events taking place across the city for LGBT+ people to celebrate themselves and the community.

From boat parties to drag brunches and family-friendly events to live queer comedy, you can jump into Pride weekend in a number of different ways to suit you.

London Pride 2021 Boat Party with Sink The Pink

When: 11 September

Iconic drag collective Sink The Pink are fronting this Southern Comfort boat party for Pride which will take guests on a two-hour cruise along the Thames. Guests will set sail on a vintage Mississippi paddle steamer boat and enjoy DJs, voguing crews and drag queens as well as a free cocktail and food from a New Orleans-style menu.

They’ve confirmed that the next ticket release will be at 1pm on 9 September and you can get them from feverup.com.

Pride Uber Boat

Pride at Uber has teamed up with Albert Kennedy Trust to raise money for homeless LGBT+ youth.

Pride at Uber has teamed up with The Albert Kennedy Trust to launch a family-friendly charity drag show on the Thames for London Pride 2021 to raise funds for homeless LGBT+ youth. It will feature drag queens including Karma Doll and Taylor Trash who will perform lip syncs for guests in aid of the charity.

If you want to attend the show then you can hop on at any of the following stops, and can purchase a ticket using your Uber app.

  • 17:09pm: North Greenwich Pier, Westbound
  • 18:05pm: Westminster Pier, Eastbound
  • 19:08pm: Woolwich Pier, Westbound (finishing at 20:25pm at Westminster Pier)

The winner of Drag Race UK, Lawrence Chaney, will host a London Pride 2021 drag brunch at Between the Bridges on South Bank. Guests can expect bottomless bubbly, DJ sets, lip syncs, a show from venue Clapham Grand, special guest Victoria Scone, who is the first cis woman to compete on Drag Race and of course comedy from the hilarious Scottish queen.

Little Gay Brother’s London Pride 2021 special will see them takeover E1 Club with “the biggest and best queer DJs in the biz” in a secret, unannounced lineup. The celebration will also support Stonewall Housing, with a portion of ticket sales raising funds for homeless queers.

Pride Party!

When: 11 September

This 11-hour Pride party takes place at The House of St Barnabas and will celebrate LGBT+ culture and raise funds to tackle homelessness. It will feature music from DJs Boogie Cartel, Twice Shy (Gay Garage), Mica Coco and live drag.

The As One Pride event will take place across different venues in London throughout the weekend. This includes a huge show at Electric Brixton on 11 September with a lineup featuring DJs Binomio, Neil Singleton and Tony English. Other events for the house and techno focused nights include Sexcircus x Madmen x Heat and Beyond Afterhours. You can get tickets for individual events or weekend passes.

When: 11 September

The Blue Posts in Soho will be hosting an all-day party to celebrate Pride and support the LGBT+ community. They will also be raising money for the Albert Kennedy Trust throughout the day and will host the DJ behind 90s and 00s club night Rhythm of the Night. The event is free on a first come, first welcomed system with wristbands available at the door.

Lafayette is hosting queer pop party Gal Pals this Pride weekend for the event’s “biggest yet” for a “queer heavenly utopia”. The dance party is a space for women, trans and non-binary people and their pals featuring the best in female-fronted pop, hip hop and R&B. They say it’s “a space prioritising queer women, trans and/or non-binary people and those of marginalised gender expressions,” and they “welcome friends and allies however we ask that you respect Gal Pals as a space for these groups first and foremost.”

TuckShop Live: Pride Special

When: 11 September

Drag company TuckShop UK are hosting a Pride special at Covent Garden Studios. It’ll mark the first in a brand new monthly drag night in the heart of London’s West End and feature some fierce drag cabaret. The lineup will feature Drag Race UK series three stars Vanity Milan and Kitty Scott Claus as well as Dosa Cat, Louis Cyfer, Ophelia Love and host Herr.

When: 12 September

This free event at Between the Bridges on Southbank will feature a market where all artists identify as LGBT+, so you can head down and support the independent artists while picking up some cute products. It’s also home to food stalls, bars, games, live music and DJs, so if you want a chilled Sunday during Pride weekend you can head down between 11am and 4pm.

When: 12 September

If you’re ready for more Pride celebrations on the Sunday then you can head to a drag brunch including Fitz’s Big Drag Brunch. The event will be an afternoon of Prosecco and Aperol alongside plenty of drag performances, audience participation and quizzes. Plus there will also be custom drinks that take their names from Drag Race stars including Shea Couleé, Adore Delano and Jiggly Caliente.

There are two shows with 1pm to 2:30pm and 3pm to 4:30pm and you can book at fitzs.co.uk.
