Cardi B announces birth of second child and shares adorable family photo

Cardi B has announced the birth of her second child with her husband, Offset, by sharing an adorable family photo on social media.

The rapper posted the photo to Instagram, showing herself in a hospital bed tucked under a Louis Vuitton blanket and holding her new baby in her arms. Her husband, Offset, was by her side.

In the caption, she revealed that her second child had been born on 4 September, 2021.

In a statement to Billboard, Cardi B and Offset said: “We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son. He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can’t wait to introduce him to his other siblings.”

Cardi B announced her pregnancy in June this year, in the most iconic way possible.

Appearing in a surprise live performance at the BET Awards with Migos, she stormed the stage in a sparkly black unitard with a mesh panel on the stomach, showing off her baby bump.

She later confirmed the news in a Twitter post, tagging husband Offset and simply writing, “#2” alongside a photo of her proudly displaying her bump.

Cardi B and Offset welcomed their first child Kulture in 2018, while Offset has three children from previous relationships; Jordan, Kody and Kalea.

Cardi B recently hit back at ‘queerbaiting’ claims

When Cardi B was hit with claims of “queerbaiting” following the release of the video for her song “Wild Side” with Normani, in which the two women are shown embracing while naked, she was quick to set the record straight.

Responding to a Rolling Stone article about queerbaiting which included a reference to the music video, she wrote on Twitter: “Queerbaiting? You do know we was trying to hide a whole baby bump right?

“Also I’m married to a man but I have express soo much about my bisexuality and my experiences wit girls.

“All of a sudden ‘queerbaiting’ is the new word and people use it to the ground!”
