Queer as Folk has announced four more LGBT+ actors are joining the upcoming reboot –  and we love to see it.

Candace Grace, Johnny Sibilly, Devin Way and Fin Argus are set to star in the new Peacock series in regular roles.

The latest American spin-off of the Russell T Davies series will explore the lives of a modern-day, diverse group of friends in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The plot follows the group whose lives are transformed in the wake of a still-unknown tragedy.

Non-binary actor Candace Grace will portray a non-binary professor navigating the rocky transition from punk to parenthood.

Johnny Sibilly will star as a successful lawyer who is not as put together as he seems and Fin Argus will play a cocky high schooler whose confidence belies his lack of real-world experience.

Devin Way’s character is a charming and sometimes chaotic commitment-phobe who finds a reason to stay in New Orleans after the tragedy.

Way posted the announcement on his Instagram, writing: “This win is for the small town, biracial boy who grew up in an environment that taught him to hide who he is… you don’t ever have to hide anymore.”

“We are about to create something extraordinary and your tv is about to get QUEER AS FOLKKKKKKK!!!!!!!,” he added.

While Johnny Sibilly tweeted that “dreams come true” and that he’s “so excited to tell these stories with these amazing people for this iconic show.”

They join previously announced cast member Jesse James Keitel, who will reportedly play “a trans, somewhat reformed party girl who is struggling to grow up.”

The trailblazing non-binary actor said they were “honored”, “thrilled” and “in genuine disbelief to be joining this iconic show”.

The new Peacock series is a reboot of Russell T Davies’ groundbreaking series which followed a group of gay men living in Manchester, England.

This was followed up by a successful US remake set in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that ran from 2000 to 2005 and aired on Showtime.

How to stream the Queer as Folk reboot

While the series currently has no release date we do know that it will be available to exclusively stream on Peacock.
