Elliot Page has released his debut “lo-fi bedroom pop” record recorded with one of his “oldest and dearest friends” Mark Rendall, and we’re already obsessed.

The Umbrella Academy star might have made a name for himself as an actor, but it looks like a music career could be on the horizon after he dropped a self-recorded EP.

The three-track EP, simply titled Mark and Elliot, is available to stream for free on Bandcamp. The album cover is a picture of Page’s dog against a black background.

“Mark Rendall is one of my oldest and dearest friends and a true gem of a human,” Page wrote on Instagram.

“We recorded an EP together! It’s a lo-fi bedroom pop adventure! Go listen to it if you like!!!”

Elliot Page teamed up with an old friend to make ‘fun’ music

On Bandcamp, Page and Rendall explain that they first met in 2003 and later started making music together. The three tracks are called “One Way Track”, “Desert Holes” and “Summer Summer”.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Page’s friend Rendall said the EP was “so fun to make”.

“Love you old friend Elliot Page,” Rendall wrote. “Hope everyone enjoys and that these songs bring a smile to your face.”

The EP comes at the tail end of a busy few months for Page. Since coming out as trans in December 2020, the actor has done high-profile interviews with Oprah Winfrey and TIME magazine.

They also returned to the set of Netflix smash hit The Umbrella Academy to film the hotly-anticipated third season of the show.

Page has repeatedly sent fans into a tailspin with behind-the-scenes pictures from the set of the hugely-popular series.

Steve Blackman, the show’s creator, recently announced that they had wrapped filming on the third season – meaning fans should get to see the Hargreeves siblings back together sooner rather than later.

The news comes just weeks after Page was awarded the Annual Achievement Award at the Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ Film Festival.

In a statement released to PEOPLE, Page said it was a “great honour” to receive the award.

“Now more than ever, it is so important for our voices to be amplified and represented in film and media, and for people to hear our stories,” he said.
