Gay guy slips warning note to woman on an unsettling date: ‘Run. Be safe girl’

A Twitter user note from gay man unsettling date

A woman’s story about her unsettling date and the note a kind gay man left her has gone viral on Twitter – and for good reason.

The woman took to Twitter to spill all the tea about a recent coffee date she had with an unnamed man. She also described the moment a gay man passed her a note warning her to “run” after her date stepped away.

“I had coffee with a guy yesterday,” she wrote. “When he went to the bathroom, the gay guy sitting behind me passed me this note.”

The note, which appears to be on the back of a receipt, read: “Too many red flags. Run. Be safe girl.”

Several people started to wonder what the “red flags” were in her date that the gay man could overhear. In a follow-up tweet, the woman explained she had several misgivings about her date, and they clashed on several topics.

“Ok, I’ll share more… while trying to remain as vague as possible,” she tweeted. “But we did not see eye to eye on the DaBaby situation and he’s a Kevin Samuels fan.”

She continued: “I had to look him up and was immediately taken aback lmao.”

The woman added in another tweet that she did recognise the red flags, but she “wasn’t in danger” so she stayed because “of course I had to debate him”.

“I’m sure my guardian angel was exhausted and was like ‘B***H, LEAVE!'” she wrote.

She added that were a “few other GLARING red flags” that she wouldn’t mention, but she assured everyone she would have recognised them “with or without the note”. The woman then confirmed what the internet was thinking that there “won’t be a second date” between her and the unnamed man.

“But the note was greatly appreciated and added some laughs to my night,” she said.
