Lil Nas X says he ‘needs to be a slut sometimes’ ahead of ‘nasty’ new video

Lil Nas X has said he “needs to be a slut sometimes” while teasing his new music video – and we are 100 per cent here for it.

The singer made the highly-relatable comment after warning parents that the music video for his new song “Industry Baby” probably shouldn’t be watched by children.

“Saying this in advance so y’all won’t blame me,” Lil Nas X tweeted on Tuesday (20 July). “THE INDUSTRY BABY VIDEO IS NOT FOR YOUR KIDS!”

Before long, a parent replied to the singer’s tweet, writing: “My two year old loves your music how can you not make it appropriate for everyone.”

Lil Nas X responded in the best possible way. “bless ur two year olds heart but I need to be a slut sometimes sir,” he wrote.

Fans were overjoyed by Lil Nas X’s honesty: ‘This video about to be nasty’

The singer’s candid admission sent fans into overdrive – the tweet has already been liked 200,000 times, and it racked up some truly spectacular replies.

A child psychologise also weighed in, writing: “Any ‘inappropriateness’ in the lyrics will go completely over the two years old’s head. Think about all of the songs you listened to as a kid that you only realised later meant… something else.”

Lil Nas X’s warning to parents comes just months after he dropped the music video for “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”, which showed him sliding down a stripper pole to hell and giving Satan a lap dance.

While most fans loved the music video, others were furious that he had dared to explore his own sexuality.

Although his first single, “Old Town Road”, was a hit with children, Lil Nas X has been clear that his music is for him, and adults like him.

After performing “Montero” at the BET Awards and kissing a back-up dancer, he asked critics: “Like the song is literally about gay sex what y’all want me to do play the piano while baking a cake?”

The singer has since confirmed that his new song “Industry Baby” will be released on Friday (23 July). Fans have been pleading with him for weeks to drop the track, which he has repeatedly teased on TikTok.

He is expected to release his debut album later this summer.
