Dolly Parton recreated her 1978 Playboy cover for her husband’s birthday, officially kicking off her “Hot Girl Summer”.

The only thing hotter than the planet’s global temperature amid climate catastrophe right now is Dolly Parton, who on Tuesday evening (20 July) wished her husband Carl Thomas Dean a happy 78th birthday by throwing on a black strapless bustier, pink bow tie and bunny ears.

“It’s always #HotGirlSummer for my husband, Carl,” she captioned a Twitter video. Happy birthday my love!”

“Remember some time back I said I was gonna pose on Playboy Magazine when I’m 75?” she said in the video.

“Well, I’m 75 and they don’t have a magazine anymore, but my husband always loved the original cover of Playboy.”

“I was trying to think of something to do to make him happy,” she continued.

“He still thinks I’m a hot chick after 57 years and I’m not gonna try to talk him out of that and I hope he agrees with.”

Dolly Parton then revealed she did a photoshoot in the outfit she had on and recreated her 1978 cover of Playboy. She had the results framed alongside the original for Dean.

“In the first one, I was kind of a little butterball,” she joked. “Well, I’m string cheese now but he’ll probably think I’m cream cheese I hope.”

She then presented Dean with the framed photographs, offering fans a rare glimpse of her husband of 57 years.

It was safe to say that fans, from Daniel Newman to Tyler Oakley, were left breathless by Parton’s stunning recreation of the vintage Playboy shoot.

Married since 1966, Parton and Dean, a retired business mogul from Nashville, Tennessee, have rarely been photographed together. Dean having vastly shied away from the clicks of the paparazzi that have charted the country superstar’s career.

When Dean met Parton, then 18, outside a laundromat in Nashville, his first thought was “I’m gonna marry that girl,” according to her official website.

“My second thought was: ‘Lord she’s good lookin’.’

“And that was the day my life began.”
