Iconic Nickelodeon characters set for All-Star Brawl fighting game to rival Smash Bros

Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl

A new Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl game will see iconic characters from SpongeBob SquarePants, Rugrats, Hey Arnold! and more do battle.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is set for release this autumn for Xbox and PlayStation consoles as well as Nintendo Switch, as announced by IGN.

Just like Nintendo’s Smash Bros, the game features a cast of characters from across Nickelodeon’s cartoons.

That means we’ll see brawls between SpongeBob SquarePants and Nigel Thornberry, Reptar from Rugrats and Michaelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and more.

The full list of characters is currently unknown, but confirmed to be included are:

Michelangelo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

Leonardo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

Nigel Thornberry (The Wild Thornberrys)

Powdered Toast Man (Ren & Stimpy)

SpongeBob SquarePants (SpongeBob SquarePants)

Sandy Cheeks (SpongeBob SquarePants)

Patrick Star (SpongeBob SquarePants)

Oblina (Aaahh!!! Real Monsters)

Lucy Loud (The Loud House)

Lincoln Loud (The Loud House)

Helga (Hey Arnold!)

Reptar (Rugrats)

Zim (Invader Zim)

Danny Phantom (Danny Phantom)

The game will feature 20 different stages based on Nickelodeon shows, and just like Smash Bros it seems the aim will be to knock out your opponents using various special moves.

Single and multiplayer options will be available, including online support. It’s also been confirmed the game will have rollback netcode when playing online – a feature that ensures a smooth online experience, something Nintendo is yet to implement.

Of course, gamers of all ages are super excited about the game and are flooding social media with clips and memes from their favourite shows.

Nintendo’s Smash Bros Ultimate has just added its latest character, Kazuya from the Tekken series.

Kazuya also comes with a new Mishima Dojo stage to play on.

One final character addition is set to be announced, with fans speculating wildly.
