Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez shuts down Republican bigot Marjorie Taylor Greene in seven perfect words

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Marjorie Taylor Greene

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez fired back at Marjorie Taylor Greene after the Republican congresswoman called her a “little communist” during a rally.

Greene took aim at AOC, as Ocasio-Cortez is known, during a gathering of supporters of former president Donald Trump on Saturday (26 June).

The Georgia politician, who has previously and repeatedly been denounced for racism, referred to Ocasio-Cortez as the “little communist from New York City” before claiming she was “not an American”. She also claimed it was a “good idea” to “lock her up too”.

“She’s not an American,” Greene told the crowd in Ohio. “She really doesn’t embrace our American ways.”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded to the tirade with a short but beautiful tweet.

“First of all, I’m taller than her,” she wrote.

The New York representative didn’t even dignify the rest of Greene’s diatribe with a response.

Of course, Ocasio-Cortez’s hilarious tweet has since received heaps of praise on Twitter with Minnesota congresswoman Ilhan Omar even chiming in.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has, unfortunately, had multiple run-ins with Greene. Earlier this month, Greene accused her of “constantly playing the victim” after the New Yorker attacked Trump over the distribution of aid to Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria in 2017.

In May, Ocasio-Cortez tweeted to insist that antisemitism would never be tolerated in New York or “anywhere in the world”.

Greene took the moment to accuse her of being a “terrorist” and of “aligning [herself] with terrorists”.

The Washington Post reported Greene also accosted Ocasio-Cortez outside the House chamber last month, accusing her of supporting “terrorists”. The outlet said two reporters witnessed Greene chance after the Democrat as she left the chamber.

Greene reportedly asked Ocasio-Cortez why she supported Antifa and Black Lives Matter movement. The Washington Post reported that Greene labelled them as “terrorist” groups.

However, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez did not stop to answer Greene, the report stated, and her office declined to discuss her response to the incident.
