Ubisoft are developing a new Avatar game named Frontiers of Pandora.

Shown at their E3 Ubisoft Forward presentation, the game is being built on a new game engine that ensures the world of Pandora looks stunning.

Gameplay looks to be first person against invading humans, but it’s not clear how this fits into the Avatar film series. The game will arrive in 2022.

Also revealed was Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, a new game in the tactical series on Nintendo Switch.

Inspired by Super Mario Galaxy, it takes the Mario heroes to space to uncover the mystery behind the Sparks – Rabbid Luma hybrids.

The game looks absolutely gorgeous and is set to push the gameplay boundaries of the series so far, especially with the power of the Sparks. The new trailer ends with Mario summoning fireballs from the sky, for instance.

We can’t wait to see more of the lazy Rabbid Rosalina, too.

Todrick Hall made a short appearance as a brand new version of his hit song “Nails Hair Hips Heels” will be included in Just Dance 2022, with new lyrics “full of sass”. Fans can also be part of the new music video exclusive to this version of the song.

Further story details were given on Far Cry 6’s villain Anton Castillo in a new trailer. What’s more, the post-game Season Pass will include a new fantastical mode that brings together all the villains from the previous games, cementing the Ubisoft series’ legacy of memorable villains.

Rainbow Six fans have plenty to look forward to in the next year. Rainbow Six Extraction is a new game coming on 16 September that sees teams of up to three players co-operating against an alien threat.

Gameplay will be familiar to Siege players but with some new twists, least of all the various alien species you’ll be up against.

Stealth tactics will be necessary as you complete objectives and make your way through various spacey subzones.

Speaking of Siege, crossplay is being added between PC editions (PC, Luna, Stadia) and between console editions (Xbox, PlayStation), with cross progression across all versions.

Elsewhere Riders Republic is an online multiplayer take on extreme sports, including cycling, snowboarding and wingsuit flying. Most exciting are the mass races with 64 participants, as well as various other game modes combining racing and stunts.

Rocksmith+ will continue the guitar playing series, but now is accessible on your phone. That means you can play on either electric or acoustic guitars and learn a diverse mix of songs far beyond just rock. It really is a step on from the Guitar Hero days of the past.

Ubisoft also confirmed they’ll be supporting Assassin’s Creed Valhalla with more expansions for a second year. In the meantime, a new Siege of Paris expansion will take Eivor to wartorn Francia this summer to experience the most ambitious battle in Viking history.

And in September a Discovery Tour Viking Age mode will be included for history buffs to experience life as a viking in Dark Ages Britain.
