As part of the Summer Games Fest announcements yesterday, Borderlands developer Gear Box revealed the exciting new fantasy shooter standalone game Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

The upcoming game will feature an all-star cast including Andy Samberg (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Will Arnett (BoJack Horseman), and lesbian icon Wanda Sykes. The full-length adventure also includes a campaign, four-player co-op, and endgame content to keep players engaged.

In Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, players will build, customise, and control their own characters, and each character can fit into multiple classes. The game will feature the familiar Borderlands gunplay and weaponry within a fantasy setting, meaning you’ll be able to blow up dragons with rocket launchers. Who hasn’t dreamed of that?

Wanda Sykes will play a rule-following robot, Will Arnett is set to play the evil Dragon Lord and Andy Samberg will be the voice of the headstrong Captain Valentine.

With Ashly Burch (who also plays Aloy in Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West) set to return as the voice of Tiny Tina, the game will see her be in charge and change the world and setting at will – similar to her D&D-themed expansion for Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep.

For those who aren’t aware, Tiny Tina is a well-known and loved character from the Borderlands franchise. According to Gearbox founder Randy Pitchford, the game has been in and out of development for over 10 years.

“For me, bringing actual Borderlands guns to fight dragons, skeletons, goblins, and more in an original fantasy world imagined by the galaxy’s deadliest thirteen-year-old, Tiny Tina, as a new, full-featured AAA video game is a dream come true,” he states.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X in 2022.
