Twitch streamer banned for promoting her OnlyFans account

A Twitch streamer has been banned for promoting her OnlyFans account.

Popular Pokémon streamer Jubilee “JubileeBlais” Blaisdell promoted a link to her OnlyFans account on her stream channel, which is against Twitch terms of service.

It states that: “Sexually explicit content and activities, such as pornography, sexual acts, and sexual services, including solicitation and offers for such content, are prohibited.”

Blaisdell had her channel set to “mature audiences”, but such content is not allowed regardless.

On Twitter she shared the news of the ban and added it would be a three day suspension.

And while she noted initially that her OnlyFans wouldn’t contain any nudity, it seems that’s now changed.

Even if the account didn’t contain nudity, the ease that stream viewers could find it elsewhere on OnlyFans still puts Blaisdell in violation of the Twitch terms of service.

While the suspension takes place, Blaisdell still has content on her YouTube channel. And of course her OnlyFans account is available.

Her YouTube channel contains predominantly the Pokémon content she’s known for, which is a bit more “family friendly”.

Twitch is cracking down on sexual content following the recent “hot tub meta” debate.

A number of streamers (mostly female) have been streaming in bathing suits in hot tubs, with rewards for subscriptions and donations. This is not against Twitch terms of service as a hot tub is considered appropriate context for a bathing suit.

Streamers have given opinions on both sides of the debate as to whether this content should be on Twitch.

Amouranth had her stream demonetised and ExoHydraX was banned for supposedly twerking.

Twitch has since added a Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches category to separate out this content, though they admit this is not a long-term solution. More details were shared in this blog post.
