Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War season 4 – everything you need to know

Call of Duty season four

Announced during Summer Games Fest, the popular FPS game Call of Duty is getting a whole new look – and a return of the Zombies.

Unveiling a new trailer for Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, the game’s developer Activision has revealed a ton of new content coming soon – including a new Nail Gun weapon, Satellite POI, Hijacked Gulag, and Operators.

Warzone will get an update as well with a nasty-looking villain who calls himself “Death,” and who brings down a satellite as the Cold War becomes hot.

Black Ops: Cold War’s multiplayer will get new items and new maps like Hijacked, Collateral, and Amsterdam. Hijacked takes place aboard a luxury yacht, and is one of the most popular Call of Duty maps of all time. Zombies will also get expanded content with giant monsters and a train coming to run over a bunch of the shambling dead.

Season 3 (the current season) launched with an explosive new trailer featuring hip-hop stars Saweetie and Young Thug back in April. Season 3 also saw the arrival of two iconic 80’s action heroes, John Rambo from the Rambo franchise (played by Sylvester Stallone), and John McClane (from the Die Hard movies played by Bruce Willis).

The World Series of Warzone will take place on June 22 and June 23 with a new kind of Call of Duty esports event. That will feature competitions where 150 players battle it out on the Verdansk map for a big prize pool.

The World Series of Warzone will broadcast exclusively on Twitch in partnership with Twitch Rivals. This custom-lobby event will include some of the biggest streamers in Call of Duty and Twitch, including big-name captains: Nadeshot, TimtheTatMan, Swagg, DanDangler and Aydan.

Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season Four are landing on June 17th. Warzone is free to play on PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
