Legacies star Kaylee Bryant comes out as queer in the simplest of ways: ‘Happy Pride Month’

Legacies star Kaylee Bryant has started off Pride Month with a bang by coming out as queer in a post on Instagram.

Bryant shared a picture of herself holding an LGBT+ Pride flag and a cheeky expression. The caption on the photo reads: “Hi My name is Kaylee and I’m queer. Happy Pride Month.” It also included two LGBT+ Pride flag emojis.

Bryant is also wearing a shirt in the photo that reads “Be the bold queer you needed to see in your youth”. Out reported the clothing item is designed by queer artist Crash King.

Teenage Bounty Hunters and Ghost Wars actor Maddie Phillips commented on Kaylee Bryant’s post. She wrote: “god i love you PRECIOUS ANGEL.” Phillips’ comment included several red heart emojis, emphasising her love for Bryant living her truth.

Guilty Party star and YouTuber Jessie Paege also congratulated Bryant for coming out. She wrote “ILY”.

Humberly González, who stars in Ginny & Georgia, wrote that Bryant is “incredible” alongside an LGBT+ flag and red heart emojis.

The official Warner Bros TV Instagram account even celebrated Bryant coming out. The channel’s account commented: “We love you!” The comment included a rainbow, sparkles, two hearts and heart eyes smiling face emojis.

Kaylee Bryant plays Josie Saltzman on the CW supernatural drama series Legacies. The show is a spin-off of The Originals and also features characters from that series and its predecessor, The Vampire Diaries.

Bryant plays a teenage witch in the show who is also a student at Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. Josie Saltzman is a twin sister to another witch, Lizzie (played by Jenny Boyd), and was first introduced on The Vampire Diaries.

Bryant also shared her coming out post on Twitter, and fans went wild about the news. One fan posted a house meme and two pictures of Bryant. The post read: “In this house we are so proud and love Kaylee Bryant.”

Another person wrote: “Kaylee Bryant is valid, I’m valid, you’re valid!”

Someone else posted that Bryant “really did come out of nowhere” and made “pretty much all of her fandom proper sob”.
