JoJo Siwa’s Pride party took a scary turn after a guest reportedly had an apparent overdose, prompting authorities to be called to the star’s San Fernando Valley home.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that police and paramedics responded to a call to Siwa’s home after 8pm on Wednesday (2 June). TMZ reported that a male guest aged around 30-years-old was suspected to have overdosed on LSD.

The sources told TMZ that the man had arrived at the party high and was eventually transported to the hospital. A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told E! News that no arrests were made.

This is the first Pride celebration that JoJo Siwa has hosted since coming out in January. In the months since, she has shared with fans her joy in living her truth and has been spotted with her girlfriend, Kylie Prew. The pair often post adorable pictures of themselves together.

According to TMZ, Siwa threw a rainbow-themed party to celebrate the beginning of Pride Month. The party featured a bounce house, unicorn balloons, a rainbow-dyed dog, a candy buffet and a hand-bedazzled rainbow piano. A host of influencers – including Tana Mongeau – and Siwa’s girlfriend attended the party.

JoJo Siwa also shared a beautiful video message on Instagram celebrating the start of Pride Month on Tuesday (1 June). She shared that “everyone” has been “supportive of my own journey this year”, adding it has been “the best ever” feeling.

“Finding true love and just being part of a community that is so happy and so loving and so accepting,” Siwa said. “It just feels like the best thing ever, and I am the happiest I have literally ever been.”

The YouTube star added that she wanted to pay it forward by promoting her partnership with Walmart and LGBT+ youth advocacy group GLSEN to “help end bullying based on sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression in all schools”.

JoJo Siwa encouraged her fans to be “your true authentic selves every single day” and “celebrate your individuality” because that is “what makes you so special”.
