An ‘Among Us’ chicken nugget just sold on eBay for almost $100,000. Yes, really

A chicken nugget shaped like an Among Us character has been sold for almost $100,000. No that’s not sus. It’s real.
The nugget, which has an uncanny resemblance to a crewmate (or is it actually an impostor?) in the popular space-whodunnit game was sold on eBay by US user Polizna with 184 bids, after the listing went viral.
It was eventually bought for the massive price of $99,997.
The nugget was originally from McDonalds and found in a BTS Combo meal, which surely added to its value.
Its condition was also listed as “used”. There doesn’t look to be any bite marks in it, but maybe it’s been licked? Wait…don’t ask.
The chicken nugget will be frozen and air sealed before shipping to ensure freshness. As the listing notes, “This food product has an average expiration of about 14 days and will be delivered prior to expiration”.
The official Among Us Twitter account shared the listing during the sale when the price was lower, joking “i don’t know how to feel about it??? but also?? i want it”.
The Xbox account then replied “For that price it must come with Szechuan Sauce.”
Szechuan. Barbecue. Ketchup. We’d expect it all. In abundance.
On the listing, the seller even responded “I have Szechuan and at buyer’s request will ship some with the nugget”.

The Among Us account even noted you could buy 69 Xbox Series X consoles for the cost of that one Among Us chicken nugget. Nice.

The game is also soon to come to PS4 and PlayStation 5 this year, complete with Ratchet & Clank skin and a pet that both look adorable.
