Saperstein plays Big Red on the popular Disney Plus show High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. The mockumentary musical drama is inspired by Disney’s popular High School Musical film series from which it takes its name.

Saperstein’s character is the best friend of the show’s main character Ricky Bowen, and he fills in as a stage manager for the production. It’s later revealed in the series that he’s a talented tap dancer and has a good working knowledge of electronics. He also develops romantic feelings for another teenager named Ashlyn Caswell, played by Julia Lester.

After coming out on TikTok, Saperstein took to Twitter to further celebrate Pride. He joked that he has “30 days” to figure out “how to do drag” so he can “turn out a look before the end of the month”. He also wished all his fans and the LGBT+ community a happy Pride Month.

Another person wrote: “Larry Saperstein bi, I keep winning every single day”.
