New Pride Anthems include tracks by Lil Nas X and Hayley Kiyoko

Rocket League developers Psyonix are celebrating Pride Month with new Player Anthems.

First introduced in the game’s second season, Player Anthems are short snippets of songs that play when you score a goal in Rocket League’s car sport.

Previously these were mainly techno tracks as part of Psyonix’s partnership with Monstercat.

But for Pride Month, they’ve teamed up with some top LGBT+ artists to offer players the chance to celebrate their wins with the likes of Lil Nas X, Troye Sivan, Kim Petras and more.

The full list of songs is as follows:

“Imagine” by Ben Platt

“Platinum” by Big Freedia

“Bad Girl” by Daya

“Found My Friends” by Hayley Kiyoko

“Malibu” by Kim Petras

“PAIN” by King Princess

“MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)” by Lil Nas X

“STUD” by Troye Sivan

These will be available in the Player Anthem Bundle in the game’s shop from 21 June right through until the end of the month.

The songs will also be available in a playlist on Rocket League Radio that plays across the game’s menu screens.

In addition, there will be Love ISLV Wheels available for free all month in the shop. The vehicle is, of course, bright pink and sports rainbow-coloured wheels.

We can’t wait to beat the competition in the new vehicle while Lil Nas X blares out – devil costume and stripper pole not included, sadly.

For more information on the Pride content, you can check out the Rocket League blog.

First released in 2015, the vehicle sports game has been free-to-play since September 2020 and is available on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, Switch and PC.

Rocket League follows the likes of Dead by Daylight offering new content for gamers for Pride Month.
