A group of anti-LGBT+ bigots proved “karma is real” when their boat burst into flames and they had to be rescued by the queer boater they were screaming slurs at.

A viral TikTok posted by user @uhohbigboi shows a Pride flag flying from their boat on Memorial Day weekend as a group on a smaller boat screams at them and makes obscene gestures.

The video, which now has more than seven million views and two million likes, is overlaid with the text: “Karma hits boaters who harassed and spun circles around our boat after they saw our Pride flags.”

The video then cuts to the anti-LGBT+ group’s boat bursting into flames, while they are forced into the water to be rescued by the targets of their hate.

The TikTok user’s sibling, who is trans and queer, took to Twitter to share the video and give more details, writing: “These people harassed my family because we were flying gay Pride flags in Moses Lake, Washington, by racing around us and shouting gay slurs.

“Then, their boat literally blew up! #KarmaIsReal.”

They added: “And just ONE more tidbit to really drive the karma in there.

“The driver literally s**t his pants and everyone saw when his shorts fell off in the water.”

Social media users were delighted by the video, with one writing: “Wow homophobia is SUUUUUPER flammable I guess – who knew!”

“I think what happened here is that they called on God to strike down the disgusting sinners,” wrote another. “And he did.”

On a more serious note, the queer Twitter user later posted another video from the family’s boat, and wrote: “I also want to show the fear this event has put into my family. To where we literally start filming everyone who even pulls up close to us now; I’m surprised the camera isn’t shaking because my hands definitely were.”

However, the event has not stopped them from flying Pride flags from the boat, and they tweeted on the first day of Pride month: “We’re back at it again! We will not hide our Pride.”
