Ubisoft have released a new Far Cry 6 teaser, giving fans a glimpse into what’s to come ahead of the gameplay reveal later today (28 May).

The anticipation surrounding the release of the next Far Cry has fans everywhere pretty much panting with excitement. To up the ante, Ubisoft have released a new 35-second teaser that shows images of luxurious paintings of El Presidente Antón Castillo (portrayed by Breaking Bad‘s Giancarlo Esposito) alongside several newspapers with bold headlines.

In the teaser, Presidente Antón Castillo is addressing the “true citizens of Yara”, while accusing agitators of spreading “chaos, confusion, and noise.” Promising to stand beside them to help defend Yara, he warns that they need to “sacrifice in the name of progress”.

The Far Cry 6 official gameplay reveal live stream is taking place today at 5.30pm on Ubisoft’s official YouTube channel.

Set in the war-torn world of Yara, loosely based on Cuba, players will take on the role of guerilla fighter Dani Rojas, attempting to topple dictator El Presidente Antón Castillo and his regime.

Not only is the Far Cry franchise one of the most thrilling action-adventure first-person shooter series on the market but it’s also one of the most consistent. After the announcement back in July last year, sixth instalment Far Cry 6 (which was originally scheduled for release this February) will finally be in the hands of gamers everywhere soon.
