Converse has unveiled its colourful collection for Pride 2021.

The brand’s range is always a popular one during Pride season and it looks like this year’s will be no exception.

For its sixth Pride campaign, Converse has teamed up with five young LGBT+ creatives who “were tapped to work alongside Converse designers from concept to production”.

The prices of the collection start from £20/$20 and go up to £90/$115 and it’s now available from Converse UK and Converse US.

This year’s collection features new designs of the Chuck 70, Chuck Taylor All Star and Run Star Hike shoes as well as two t-shirts and a tank top and a new pair of sliders.

They’ve also created a new “All Star” patch that is inspired by the Pride, Bisexual, Pansexual, Lesbian, Non-binary, Trans, and Unity Flags.

Plus there’s a custom Pride section on the website where you can design your own shoes, choosing from flowery to space designs and rainbow soles to laces.

The five LGBT+ creatives – Caleb, Rocio, Tereza, Ty, and Xandro – who are members of the global All Star community used their individual stories to finding Pride.

In turn Converse have created a graphically driven capsule collection that they say “explores the duality of struggle and joy along the journey to self-love”.

Converse says it will continue to find its ongoing partnership with the It Gets Better Project (IGBP), this year focusing on IGBP’s storytelling and education initiatives on TikTok and Twitch to empower young LGBT+ people “to pursue their greatest potential.”

The brand also announced additional grants to support LGBT+ youth, benefitting Ali Forney Center, BAGLY and OUT MetroWest.

Since releasing its first Pride collection in 2015, Converse has donated more than $1.3 million in support of local and global LGBT+ organisations.

The collection is now available to purchase in the UK from converse.com/uk and the US from converse.com/shop/pride-collection.

It follows up the release of a number of Pride collections from Reebok, who teamed up with the legendary House of Ninja, Dr. Martens who are supporting Albert Kennedy Trust and Apple’s new watch which features the inclusive Pride flag.
