Serial killer to marry prison fiancée who gave her a ‘no more murders’ ultimatum

Joanna Dennehy

Serial killer Joanna Dennehy, one of the most dangerous women in the UK’s criminal history, plans to marry her fiancée who gave her a “no more murders” ultimatum.

Dennehy murdered three men in the space of just 10 days in 2013, in a killing spree she said was just “for fun”.

Her victims – Lukasz Slaboszewski, 31, John Chapman, 56, and Kevin Lee, 48 – were found dumped in ditches near Peterborough in March and April of 2013, earning her the name of “Peterborough ditch murderer”.

Now her prison fiancée Hayley Palmer, a street robber who recently finished her 16-year-sentence, has said she is taking legal advice on planning the couple’s wedding after they met while incarcerated at HMP Bronzefield, Surrey.

A friend of Palmer told The Mirror that she gave Dehenny an ultimatum – no more murders, or they couldn’t be together.

They said: “It’s a very strange relationship. It’s very weird to say but they seem good for each other.

“Hayley speaks about Joanna like she’s her high school sweetheart. They talk every single day and fully intend to get married.

“Hayley joked that they would not be allowed to cut their wedding cake because there’s no way that they’d let Joanna have a knife.

They want to be married by the end of the year. They’re both committed to it.

“Now Hayley’s out of prison, she’s petitioning for permission to get married as soon as they can.”

Joanna Dennehy is one of only three women in UK sentenced to spend her whole life in prison.

Joanna Dennehy, a mother of two, murdered her first victim on 19 March, 2013.

She befriended Lukasz Slaboszewski, 31, even making him believe that she was his girlfriend, but a few days after meeting him she stabbed him to death and kept his body in a wheelie bin.

At one point, she brought a 14-year-old girl to the bin and opened it to show her the body.

Around a week later, Dennehy stabbed her housemate John Chapman, 56, in his own bedsit. After the murder, she called an accomplice and told him: “Oops, I did it again.”

Her landlord and boss, Kevin Lee, 48, became her third victim two days later.

Dennehy and her accomplice later dumped the men’s bodies in ditches, and Lee was found dressed in a black, sequin dress in a sexual pose.

The serial killer is one of only three women in the UK’s criminal history sentenced to a “whole life term”, meaning she will never be released.

The other two women were Moors murderer Myra Hindley, who is now deceased and killed at least five children with psychopath Ian Brady, and Rosemary West, who tortured and murdered of at least nine young women with her husband Fred.

During her sentencing, the judge revealed that Dennehy had told a psychiatrist she saw the murders as a “kind of fetish”, and said that she killed “to see if I was as cold as I thought I was”.

“Then it got moreish and I got a taste for it,” she added.
