Call of Duty: Warzone adds John Rambo and John McClane to its roster in latest update
It’s official! Two iconic new arrivals will be crash landing in Verdansk 84′, as the latest update of Call of Duty: Warzone includes a new 80s action heroes event.
The May event in Call of Duty: Warzone will see two of modern cinema’s most iconic characters ,John Rambo from the Rambo franchise (played by Sylvester Stallone), and John McClane (from the Die Hard movies played by Bruce Willis) become available in-game to coincide with the new Verdansk 84 map: after the original map was nuked back to the 1980s recently.

As confirmed by the game’s developers Activision yesterday (13 May), the skins are a fun new addition to the current 80s theme.
Last week, fans suspected that Rambo was coming to Warzone when a tweet from the Call of Duty account shared stats from a mysterious operator named SURVIVORJOHN#1009062.

Since then there have been rumours of Call of Duty hinting at a possible movie collaboration when a cryptic tweet and a website for the fictional company ‘Nakatomi Duct Cleaning’, which fans of Die Hard will instantly recognise as the corporation featured in the films.
And even the creative director Amos Hodge got fans excited when he said in a Call of Duty: Warzone interview “I’d like to point out that in the slides we showed you [earlier], there was a little classified section for ‘80s Action’… there is some cool stuff we’ve got planned for the 80s, so feel free to speculate on that”.

The new season of Call of Duty was released last month alongside an action-packed trailer that starred some familiar faces from the worlds of hip-hop, gaming and professional sports – from Saweetie to Dennis Schroder and a whole bunch of other people in-between. Season 3 launched with a nuke event that saw a brand new map set in 1984 which saw players blasted into the destruction of Verdansk battling it out against each other – and zombies.
