A new behind the scenes video shows off the cut scenes of Resident Evil Village, including Lady Dimitrescu motion capture.

And yes, actress Maggie Robertson does wear a massive hat. It’s called “committing to a role”, people/

The video features comparisons between the motion capture and the final scenes, giving fresh insight into the remarkable performances behind the game’s deliciously campy caricatures.

Now you can see for yourself the creation of some of Resident Evil Village’s most iconic scenes, from Lady Dimitrescu’s contained rage, to her daughters revelling in “man blood”.

It also includes some pre-visualisations of the development team acting out scenes in pre-production, which makes for an amusing counterpoint to the final results.

Robertson has also been tweeting some behind-the0scenes images, including how Lady Dimitrescu’s actual height was marked.

Clips of the fascinating video have also gone viral on Twitter.

Released last Friday (6 May), fans have been going wild for Resident Evil Village – the latest in the long-running horror series.

You can check out our review of the game here: “It’s not always scary, but Resident Evil Village is among the series’ best games. It offers spectacle and thrill in equal measure, with a deliciously gothic twist.”

Social media has been awash with cosplayers showing off their best looks. As ever, the internet is thirsty for the big tall vampire lady.

Drag streamers Deere and Eevolicious both streamed the game on Twitch dressed as the game’s iconic women.

Other fans also dressed as the vampire lady and her daughters, or shared their fan art of the characters.

It’s not just Lady Dimitrescu though. Now that the game is out in full, fans are also delighted to see another villain, Heisenberg, getting some thirst treatment.

But do we need to compare? Or is there room for both? Bisexuals can certainly agree.

One thing’s for sure, Resident Evil Village has certainly made a big impact.
