Tory election candidate didn’t realise there was a penis in his surreal campaign video

Tory local election candidate Tiger Patel just released “the greatest video you’ll see today”, featuring an accidental penis.

Patel is the the Conservative candidate for the Audley and Queen’s Park ward in Blackburn who, according to the Blackburn Conservatives website, has been “campaigning for a long time for playground equipment in Queens Park to be repaired”.

So, on Wednesday 5 May, Patel decided to film a bizarre campaign video in a playground, but it didn’t quite go to plan.

The Tory candidate wordlessly walked around the play area shaking broken chains and touching equipment to a backing track, before hoisting himself up onto the climbing frame and raising his arms in victory.

Unfortunately, right in front of him and perfectly in shot, was the world “suck” and an graffiti illustration of a small penis.

The video spread like wildfire across social media, on the day before voting takes place, with one Twitter user writing: “Meet Tiger Patel – Conservative MP for Blackburn. Easily the greatest video you’ll see today.”

 

Journalist Graham Smyth added: “I need to know the exact conversation that took place before they shot the video. Every word.”

Patel, who previously described himself as “the BoJo of Blackburn”, has become known for his low-budget and confusing videos.

During his last campaign he posted one which showed him morphing into an actual tiger, and another in which he just walked slowly down the road to “Eye of the Tiger”.

Responding to his playground mishap, Patel told Asian Image: “It was a genuine mistake. The person filming it did not see it either. It only came to our attention after we sent it out.

“I am not bothered about it one bit. It was just an error.”

However, his rival Maryam Batan and current Labour councillor for the ward told indy100: “I have many residents that contact me on a daily basis through email, phone and social media with their issues.

“I raise and follow these up directly with relevant internal and external departments getting an outcome and have had no complaints… I would love to see evidence of one email sent by Mr Patel to raise and solve an issue.”
