Wicked announces return date to London’s West End for 2021: this is how to get tickets
Wicked is returning to the London’s West End in 2021 and tickets go on sale very soon.
The hugely popular musical will reopen from 15 September at London‘s Apollo Victoria Theatre.
Theatre goers will be able to catch the show every week between Tuesdays and Sundays, with a brand new Sunday matinee confirmed.
The show – if you didn’t already know – tells an alternate story of Oz as it follows the popular Glinda and misunderstood Elphaba.
The pair meet at school and get off to a bumpy start before forming a strong friendship and while on a journey to meet the Wizard of Oz their lives take very different paths.
Glinda is lured into a powerful and pubic role while Elphaba remains determined to be true to herself and the people in her life, whatever the cost – both paths seeing them fulfil their destinies as Glinda the Good and The Wicked Witch of the West.
This all takes place against a soundtrack featuring beloved songs including “The Wizard and I”, “Popular” and “Defying Gravity”, stunning costumes and spectacular sets.
