Nintendo has teamed up with Fujifilm to release a new edition of the Instax Mini Link photo printer.

Gamers can snap moments on their Nintendo Switch and print them out to use as keepsakes, wall decorations or to simply catch ’em all.

The new Mini Link printer comes in a classic ash white, with red and blue embellishments, similar to the Nintendo Switch console, and it’s being released with a cute Pikachu case bundle.

The printer and case are being released on 30 April to coincide with the upcoming Pokémon Snap game.

Inspired by the classic Nintendo 64 game, Pokémon Snap, the all-new edition lets gamers photograph lively wild Pokémon in their natural habitats as you research and explore unknown islands.

A new version of Fujifilm’s app is being launched that can grab images captured on your Nintendo Switch.

This operates through a QR code displayed on the Switch that the app can pick up to transfer the images to your smartphone ready for instant printing.

The new app also includes 59 new frames for your prints that are themed around Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Super Mario and of course Pokémon Snap.

Once you’ve got your prints you can use them to collect and create a real Pokédex album, create a scrap book, decorate your wall with prints or keep them in your phone case.

Fujifilm launched the Instax Mini Link printer back in October 2019 with dark denim, dusty pink and ash white versions available.

There’s a dedicated app for Android and iOS devices where users can select from 36 frames to surround the mini photos before printing them.

The three original Instax Mini Links are available from Currys PC World and Amazon while the new Nintendo edition and Pikachu case are also expected to be launched via major retailers.

The Fujifilm Instax Mini Link for Nintendo Switch and Pokémon Snap are set to launch on 30 April. While the Pikachu case bundle is expected to be released in May.
