Tia Kofi, Tamisha Iman and Ellie Diamond are starring in Rapunzel the adult panto.

Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your… wig because RuPaul’s Drag Race stars are appearing in an adult panto.

The classic story of Rapunzel will be camped up by a cast featuring Tamisha Iman, Tia Kofi and Ellie Diamond.

It will tour theatres across the UK from 15 October until 14 November, 2021.

The tour was announced on the official Adult Panto Instagram page who promise the “biggest, campest and filthiest panto yet,” with this twist on the fairy tale.

Drag legend and season 13 fan favourite Tamisha Iman announced her appearance in the only way she could, saying: “Well Thank God For Talent, Hello UK SEE YOU SOON.”

Joining her on the tour are Drag Race UK contestants Tia Kofi and Ellie Diamond following the recent success of series two of the reality TV competition.

They’ll be joined by Adult Panto regulars David Hopper and Julie Hutchinson who both appeared in Sinderella as Buttons and Cinderella alongside Divina de Campo and Stacey Layne Matthews.

The tour is heading to London’s Clapham Grand, Liverpool, Aberdeen, Sheffield, Newcastle, Blackpool and Bournemouth while the official Instagram page promises, “more venues to announce over the coming weeks,” so watch this space.

It follows up a number of big drag show announcements including Alyssa Edwards’ West End debut in Memoirs of a Queen this summer, while Latrice Royale and Willam will star in Death Drop, a drag murder mystery musical at Garrick Theatre.

Tickets for the panto tour go on sale from Wednesday, 21 April via individual theatre websites, Ticketsource and Ticketmaster.
