Donald Trump is ‘beyond seriously’ considering 2024 run because he misses ‘helping people’

Donald Trump is “very seriously” considering another bid for the US presidency in 2024, claiming he misses “helping people”.
In his first TV interview since leaving the White House, Trump told Fox News on Monday (19 April) that he was “beyond seriously” looking at another run for the White House in three years. He told Fox News‘s Sean Hannity that he was “looking at it very seriously”, “beyond seriously”.
“From a legal standpoint, I don’t want to really talk about it yet, it’s a little too soon,” Trump said.
Speaking from his estate in Mar-a-Largo, Donald Trump told Hannity that he was enjoying “more popularity” now than before the November election and predictably lashed out at current-president Joe Biden. He said: “I’ve got tremendous numbers. Nobody has ever gotten the numbers I got. No sitting president even coming close.”
Donald Trump also told Fox News that he missed “helping people” the most since leaving office three months ago. He specifically cited his work in having brought in a “record number” of tax cuts, “rebuilding” the US military, creating Space Force and building parts of a wall along the US-Mexico border.
He said it has been “traumatic” for him to leave behind his “great life, great company and great business, no problems and now all I do is, people, go after you”.
“It’s vicious, it’s horrible but you know what? I loved doing it because I helped people,” Trump said. “And I’ve helped them more than any president.”
He added that he had been helping the Republican Party to win elections in the Senate, but he said the party has “got to take back the House in 2022”. Donald Trump claimed the GOP has a “real chance” to take back the majority lead in the House. To do so, he urged more people in the Republican caucus and even 2022 candidates to adopt a “Make America Great Again” platform if they want to win.
