Pretty Woman The Musical London

Pretty Woman the Musical is returning to London’s West End in summer 2021 and if you don’t get a ticket it’ll be a big mistake – huge!

The musical will open at the Savoy Theatre from 8 July and will run for five months until 12 December.

It previously premiered on the West End at Piccadilly Theatre in February 2020 but it was abruptly closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Now, fans will finally get the chance to watch Pretty Woman the Musical with tickets available from London Theatre Direct and Love Theatre.

The story, if you didn’t already know, follows Vivian who, while working the streets of Sunset Boulevard is hired by wealthy businessman Edward to accompany him on business and social events.

Despite their worlds being far apart the pair become increasingly close, and when Edward realises he doesn’t want to let Vivian go, he offers her a deal. However, she’s unsure if he really is her knight in shining armour.

The West End adaption will star Aimie Atkinson and Danny Mac as Vivian Ward and Edward Lewis and features original music and lyrics from Bryan Adams.

The musical is, of course, an adaption of the 1990 romantic comedy of the same name starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere.

Originally intended to be a dark, cautionary tale about class in Los Angeles it was re-worked as a rom-com and became one of the most successful films of that year.

It catapulted Julia Roberts to global fame and was followed up by a number of 90s successes including My Best Friends Wedding, Notting Hill and Runaway Bride.
